Colocation & Network Consolidation
Following a corporate merger of two large telecommunication companies, a review was undertaken into the outsourced colocation services in place across a number of European cities.
As a result of this review, a large number of duplications at a site and suite level were identified and removed, leading to an estimated saving per annum in excess of €30m.
Furthermore, the reduction in multiple suites at a single outsourced provider lead to an enhanced network configuration, a reduction in single points of failure, and enabled better disaster-recovery management.
